BUMP & GRIND DANCE CLASS
This basic Burlesque dance class teaches the fundamentals of classic Burlesque dance technique. Expand your repertoire of sexy moves for your boudoir, strip-tease routine, or next office party… and get a great workout! Evening classes are held at HaLo Studio Thursdays 6-7:30, taught by Ruby Mimosa! Register for an 8 week session or drop-in! BELLYDANCE BASICS
With Seattle's Sexiest Bellydancer, Fuchsia FoXXX!
This weekly 1.5 hr dance class is a challenging workout for all levels. Learn core movements, basic posture, articulation and isolations. Master Fuchsia's mind-boggling fluid body undulations and tight pop-n-locks, and develop and isolate the shimmy! At the end of each session students have the opportunity to perform for friends and family at an informal recital. Held in West Hall on Tuesdays 6-7:30. BOYLESQUE 101
with Waxie Moon and Ernie Von Schmaltz, graduates of The Academy of Burlesque. The same structure as Burlesque 101, but the curriculum is specialized for masculine/other gendered representations that Boylesque can be comprised of. Includes weekly private lesson. A TASTE OF THE TEASE
Curious about Burlesque? Want a little taste of the intrigue, sass, and fun? Have your chance to experiment with Burlesque props and tricks, and learn some flirting tips along the way! Gloves, boas, and hand fans are provided - bring your playful saucy attitude! This one-hour sampler is our MOST introductory class, no dancing or dance skill required. Open to all people. THE ART OF THE TEASE
Women in the Golden Age of Burlesque refined teasing to an art – the art of strip-tease! This two-hour workshop includes historical examples of Burlesque legends and exercises to practice the skills they developed. In this introductory class, students are empowered to explore and discover their own inner tease-artiste in a safe and friendly environment. Gloves, boas, and hand-fans are provided, no dancing or dance skill required. Learn the who and what of the how and why! Taught by Miss Indigo Blue, The Shanghai Pearl, and/or Inga Ingenue.
